1000+ cases of Dengue reported in Patiala

As per the state health and family welfare department’s records, as many as 2,788 cases of dengue were reported in Punjab from July 1 to October 11, of which 1,045 were reported from Patiala, which is 38% of the total cases.On an average over 210 confirmed cases are reported on the daily basis.

“We have been fogging twice in a day, once in the morning and later in the evening”, says Patiala Mayor Sanjeev Bittu.

“On October 4 the district administration had decided to take criminal action against the repeated defaulters, from whose residential and commercial units larvae is found,” said district civil surgeon Dr Manjeet Singh.
