Punjab: Instructions regarding smart prepaid meters

As per provisions of Regulation No. 21 of the Supply Code-2014 (amended upto
date), it has been decided to introduce the Smart Pre-paid meters for existing and new Govt.
connections in PSPCL upto Contract Demand of 45 KVA w.e.f. 01.03.2023.
Main attribute of prepaid metering is that consumers will pay advance for the
future consumption of electricity and will be actively involved in their electricity
consumption pattern.
