Capsicum costs Rs 1/kg,Punjab farmers dump capsicum on roads
Disappointed over non-receipt of fair price of vegetables, farmers of #Punjab’s #Mansa district threw capsicum on the road in Bhaini Bagha to protest claiming that there are no buyers.They said no one is even ready to buy it for Re1 per kg. They asked #AAP govt to help.
Farmers said that #AAP govt is pushing for crop diversification but it is not possible if conditions remain like this. “There are no buyers, all vegetables are rotting in markets. The govt must introduce a subsidy for to cover charges on transportation vegetables to other state”
