35 Swine flu positive cases reported in Patiala

In the past 35 days, the district has witnessed the highest number of H1N1 positive cases since 2016. On Sunday, two swine flu suspected deaths were reported at the swine flu wards of health institutions here.

A 23-year-old woman from Ludhiana and a 37-year-old man from Nabha had died on Sunday. Both were undergoing treatment for swine flu at the Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.

Health officials claim that both the cases are suspected deaths, but were tested swine flu negative. Over 120 suspected swine flu cases have been reported from the home district of state health and family welfare minister Brahn Mohindra. Of these, 35 positive cases are from Patiala, which is the worst figure in Punjab, according to official records.
