Barnala Paint shop robbers arrested by Patiala Police

PATIALA POLICE EXPOSES A GANG OF ROBBERS, NABS ONE OUT OF FIVE WITHIN FEW HOURS

Vikram Jeet Duggal, IPS, SSP Patiala while issuing the press note told that on date 20-04-2021 Vinod Kumar Bansal S/o Ram Lal Bansal resident of house number K-59, Majithia Enclave, Patiala was sitting on the counter of his shop named Barnala Paint and Hardware and at about 3:30 pm, three unknown people came and one of them pointed his gun at him while the second one took out his pistol and cocked it threatening Vinod Kumar and took away 25000/- rupees cash feom the counter and his mobile Mi note 7 pro from him and walked away heading towards the adjoining street which leads to Harman Colony. *Patiala police registered an FIR no. 100 dated 20/04/21 u/s 307,392, 34 IPC and 25 Arms act at PS Tripuri* and started the investigation about the same.
SSP, PTL told that in this case under the guidance of Harmeet Singh Hundal SP(D), Patiala and DSP(D) Krishan Kumar Panthey, CIA ptl In-Charge Rahul Kaushal visited the spot and formed various teams to identify the culprits from the CCTV footage and further investigate the case. From the investigation the names that came in light are Rahul S/o Shyam Lal, Vikram Kumar S/o Radhe Krishan Paswan, Roshan S/o Santosh Mandal, Sunny and Ashwani all residents of Sukhram Colony, Patiala who during the armed robbery used two motorcycles, raids are being conducted at their whereabouts to arrest all of them.
SSP, Patiala also told that Patiala police swiftly acting traced the blind robbery in less then 12 hours time period and a team of CIA PTL arrested Vikram Kumar S/o Radhe Krishan Paswan r/o village Bachhwara, Distt. Begusarai, Bihar, who is currently living near Dargah at Sukhram Colony, Patiala at about 02:00 AM from the Railway Station Patiala who was trying to flee to Bihar. At the time of arrest, a motorcycle that was used during robbery Yamaha FZS with registration number PB-11-AP-3278 and Rs 10,000/- cash was recovered from him. During the investigation it was found that an FIR No.12 dated 19/01/2021 u/s 324,323,341,506,148,149 IPC have been registered against him at PS Anaj Mandi Patiala in which Ashwani Kumar and Roshan Kumar etc are also involved. From the investigation it has been found that Rahul was the mastermind behind the robbery who thoroughly checked the surroundings of the Barnala paint and Hardware store and also managed the arsenal. Regular raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining accused.
SSP, Patiala told that in tracing the blind robbery a major role was played by Inspector Rahul Kaushal, In-charge CIA Patiala, ASI Bahadur Singh, HC Chander Bhan, Ct Jaspinder Singh along with Ct Vikram Singh Cyber Cell Patiala, who traced the accused and arrested one of them successfully in less than 24 hours time window.
