Bhunder awarded religious punishment for using Badsah Darvesh for Badal

Senior Akali Dal leader Balwinder Singh Bhunder was today awarded Tankhah (Religious punishment) for using the honorific ‘Badshah Darvesh’ for party patriarch Parkash Singh Badal.

He presented himself at Takht Damdama Sahib here to tender apology.

He has been directed to serve in the Takht langar for one hour daily for three days. besides other punishment.

He would present himself again after completing punishment.

It may be mentioned that he had addressed Badal as ‘Badshah Darvesh’ at Abohar rally triggering strong protests.
