Raminder Singh, a youth clad as Capt Amarinder Singh accompanied Mr. Majithia and youth evinced much interest in him.

Displaying the Congress Manifesto of 2017 elections, Mr. Majithia said that it is most unfortunate that Finance Minister got this manifest approved from Dr. Manmohan Singh but failed to implement even one page of promises of it. He said that not only the youth but farmer, Dalits, Employees and every section of the society has been cheated by this party. He said that not even a single promise made in this manifesto has been fulfilled by the Congress party. He said that this Congress party had promised full loan waive for the farmers but it ran away from total loan waiver amounting to Rs. 90000 crores. He said that nothing has been paid to Banks and Artiyas and instead the farmers have become defaulters due to false promise of the Congress. He said that the present scheme of waiver has failed to cover all the farmers. He said that though Captain Amarinder Singh had given slogan of no Kurki during election and in Vidhan Sabha too he had assured the same but still farmers are protesting across the state against the orders of Kurki being issued against them.

Answering questions of media persons, Mr. Majithia said that the SAD-BJP alliance had fulfilled all promises made to the farmers and others during its regime. He said that their government even paid more than Rs. 60000 crore for subsidy of power to farmers but this government diluted the very arrangement and now many categories have been carved out to extract bill from sections who were getting power subsidy.

On a question regarding de recognition of parties who don’t fulfill promises, Mr. Majithia said that S. Parkash Singh Badal has already demanded that strict action should be taken against those parties who make fake promises to the electors. He said that he also favours derecognizing those parties who betray the voters.

The SAD Leader said that the after two years now the Congress government has inaugurated the BRTS project without adding anything new in it. He said that project was repackaged and Congress put its stamp on it to show it as its own project to the people. He said that such acts have proved hollowness of the Congress and its bankruptcy on taking initiatives.

He said that similar is the case of Virasat E Khalsa whom the concerned Minister had termed White Elephant and later same Minister in a statement admitted that this monument is most visited place in the country and has been added in Limca Book of records. He said that same is case with Jang E Azadi Memorial and other projects launched by the earlier SAD-BJP government.

Responding to query on representation of youth in the coming elections, Mr. Majithia said that youth leaders will get the maximum representation in the lok Sabha elections. He also said that Patiala Constituency will have a surprise on the issue of SAD candidate. He also said that the alliance will sweep all the 13 seats in the state.

Terming the Punjab Democratic Alliance of the Bains Brothers, Sukhpal Khaira and Taksali Akali Dal as the B team of the Congress party, Mr. Majithia said that this alliance has been formed at the directive of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, only to divide the vote of the Opposition in Punjab. He said that recent Block Samiti and Panchayat elections has showed mirror to the Congress who is now hatching conspiracies to divide this vote of Opposition.
