Punjab BJP’s new chief Shwait Malik to assume office on April 8

Punjab Bhartiya Janata Party’s newly-appointed president and Rajya Sabha MP, Shwait Malik will formally assume office on April 8. Malik’s crowning ceremony will take place at 10:30 am at the state party headquarters in Chandigarh.

Divulging details, Punjab BJP secretary Vineet Joshi said that after meeting the party cadres from all over the state, the newly-appointed state chief will, in his inaugural address, list out his priorities for strengthening the party in the state.

BJP’s National General Secretary (Organisation) Ram Lal, state party incharge Prabhat Jha, National vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna, National secretary Arun Chug, outgoing state party president and Union Minister Vijay Sampla and former state party presidents- Madan Mohan Mittal, Manoranjan Kalia, Prof. Rajinder Bhandari, Ashwini Sharma, and Kamal Sharma will specially attend the ceremony and guide the party workers.

BJP MLAs- Dinesh Singh Babbu, Arun Narang and Som Prakash Kainth along with Pathankot Mayor Anil Vausdva, Hoshiarpur Mayor Shiv Sood, Phagwara Mayor Arun Khosla will also grace the event with their presence.
