“Sports Meet 2023” Held At Desh Bhagat Global School

Desh Bhagat Global School, Mandi Gobindgarh organized “Sports Meet 2023”. The event commenced with the garlanding ceremony of the statues of Revered S. Lal Singh Ji, freedom fighter by the dignitaries. After that, there was a lamp lighting ceremony and the recitation of the DBU anthem. Mr. Rajneesh Madan, Principal, DBGS welcomed Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor , Desh Bhagat University and Chairman, Desh Bhagat Global School, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, as the special guest and Dr. Vir Ji Koul, CEO, Elite Power Sports as the chief guest of the event.

Dr. Zora Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor congratulated the Principal and all faculty and staff members of DBGS for organizing “Sports Meet 2023”. Dr. Zora Singh said that sports are an authentic medium which can give the right direction to our youth and encourage the youth to lead a healthy and meaningful life. He expressed his happiness at the fact that so many young students enthusiastically participated in the activities and showcased their sports aptitude.

Dr. Vir Ji Koul formally addressed the gathering. He emphasized the importance of sports in a child’s life. He was delighted to see the students participating in almost all activities

Mr. Rajneesh Madan shared the information that the event was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Zora Singh Ji. He shared that the school has more than 800 students and it is a proud moment for all the parents that each and every student has participated in one or another activity to show their talent. The students displayed a wide array of energetic and bouncy sports events ranging from the Band display, March Past, track events, School drill, Zumba, Dumbbell activity and many more exotic activities. The DBGS students mesmerized the audience with their energetic performances. The proud parents could be seen filled with happiness to see their children performing.

At the end of the event, Dr. Zora Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. Vir Ji Koul, Chief Guest, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, Dr. Surjeet Patheja, Director, Faculty of Performing Arts and Media and other dignitaries awarded the medals and the certificates to the winners of the various sports events. Mr. Rajneesh Madan thanked the guests, parents, teachers, staff members and all the students of the school for making the event memorable and successful.
