Three Senior Scientist’s Joined as Professors in World University

The Department of Agriculture of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib is strengthened as three Scientists have been appointed as Professors in the Department. Prof. (Dr.) G.S Mahal, is appointed the Professor of Agriculture (Plant Breeding). Dr. Mahal has 35 years of experience as Scientist in the Department of Plant Breeding, PAU, Ludhiana. He had also served the PAU as Director Seeds. Dr. Ramesh Arora, is appointed as the Professor of Agriculture (Entomology). Dr. Arora was earlier Senior Entomologist at PAU, Ludhiana. He has published 17 books for UG and PG classes in Entomology. His research findings have proved beneficial to the farmers in controlling insect-pests of different crops. Dr. Joga Singh is appointed as the Professor of Agriculture (Animal Science). He has done research work in the field of Animal Reproduction Physiology for more than 34 years. He served at PAU, Ludhiana as Senior Animal Scientists. Dr. Rohit Jaryal with specialization in cytogenetic and Mr. Ramneek Singh Brar, with specialization in Fruit Science have also been appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department. Dr. J.S. Bal, Head, Department of Agriculture informed that the faculty members of the department have published technical  article on various agriculture topics in the quarterly agriculture  magazine “Bahumantavi Kheti” Published  by Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Ludhiana. He applauded Dr. Tajinder Kaur Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Agriculture who has recently (April 2021) edited and published a book on Plant Physiology for UG/PG courses in the discipline of Botany and Plant Physiology.
