Tota Singh acquitted by Mohali Court

Shiromani Akali Dal’s senior leader and former education minister Tota Singh here on Wednesday acquitted by a Mohali court in a corruption case. As per information Tota Singh was booked during the previous regime of Congress government in 134 teachers recruitment scam in Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). Vigilance Bureau booked him under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act. After 16 years court has given its verdict in the favour of the former minister.
There were six persons named in the case out of which one has died. Court has convicted four accused in the case and sentenced three-year imprisonment along with Rs 20,000 as fine.
