Power Regulatory Measures on Continuous Process status consumers (declared by this office and fed from category-4 feeders) from 05-07-2021 to 08-07-2021 in all DS Zones.

In view of the prolonged dry spell and increase in demand of power from agricultural sector, it has been decided to impose the following Power Regulatory measures on Continuous ProcessConsumers (declared by this office and fed from category-4 feeders) of all DS Zones:

1. Three Weekly off Days. Timings of weekly off days shall be from 08:00 Hrs. of 05-07-2021 to 08:00 Hrs. of 08-07-2021.

2. All the Continuous Process status consumers can use only 15 % of total SCD or 100 KVA whichever is lower during their weekly off days.

Fixed Charges for the weekly off days shall not be levied.

Industrial consumers who have got declared partial load as continuous process from this office under category-4 are neither allowed to use the continuous process load nor the remaining non continuous process load during compulsory weekly off days in excess of the limit as per Sr. No. 2 above.

5. The penalty on defaulting consumers who do not observe Weekly Off-days/ run load in excess of restricted load will be levied as under:

1st Default: Rs.100/- per KVA of maximum load used in excess of the restricted load. This penalty will be applicable only once during entire schedule of weekly off days in this paddy season.

2nd & subsequent default: Rs.200/- per KVA of maximum load used in excess of the restricted load.This penalty will be applicable for each and every default separately for all defaults after 1st default during entire schedule of weekly off days in this paddy season i.e. up to 30-09-2021.

Essential Services/Industries as per PR circular no.12/1998 shall be exempted from observing Compulsory Weekly Off-days. The Essential Services viz. Hospitals, Railway Stations, Railway Installations, Defence & Military Installations, P&T Installations, All India Radio / T.V., Water Supply & Sewerage Installations and News Paper Printing Presses/News Service Installations will be exempted from observing Compulsory Weekly Off-day. The Essential Industries viz Fertilizer Plants (Except NFL Bhatinda and NFL Nangal (New)), Gas Plants, Sugar Mills, Vanaspati Mills, Milk Processing Plants, Breweries and Distilleries, Roller Flour Mills, Railway Workshops, Oil Depots/L.P.G Depots, Drug and Pharmaceuticals units, Environment treatment plants (ETP plants) / Pollution controlling equipments will also be exempted from observing Compulsory Weekly Off-day.

In addition to above, Milk plants, Milk chilling plants, ice factories, cold storages, poultry farms, ice candy units, exclusively bread manufacturing units and Rice shellers will also be exempted from observing Compulsory Weekly Off-day.
