: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and former Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh passed away here today after a long illness. He was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi PGI’s Critical Care medicine ICU on July 4 in critical condition. He breathed his last today after a long illness and the gradual failure of many organs. Kalyan Singh, one of the founding members of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was a huge figure in Indian politics along with the party. Kalyan Singh, who was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh at the time of the demolition of the controversial Ayodhya structure, was one of the stalwart leaders of the BJP. Kalyan Singh was born on 6 January 1932 in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
