Patiala:Couple arrested for cheating people

PATIALA POLICE NABS HUSBAND AND WIFE FOR COMMITTING FRAUD THROUGH MOBILE PHONE, RUPEES 2,70,000/- CASH, GOLD ORNAMENTS AND A LAPTOP HAS BEEN RECOVERED, FOUR SUCH INCIDENTS HAVE BEEN TRACED.

Dr. Sandeep Kumar Garg IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police held a press conference through which he told that, under the campaign against anti-social elements Patiala Police succeeded in busting a scam and arresting husband and wife who have been scamming various Jewelers. On 21/08/2021 Davinderpal Singh s/o Manmohan Singh R/o House No. 19-A Nihal Bagh called The PS division number 2, and told them that he has been scammed by some unknown person who telephonically ordered Gold ornaments. On the behalf of statement provided by the victim a FIR No. 313 dated 21/08/2021 u/s 419, 420, 120-B IPC PS Kotwali Patiala was registered and investigation was handed to SHO PS Division No. 2, SI Priyanshu Singh.
Dr. Garg further told that to trace the above said case a team under the able guidance of Dr Mehtab Singh IPS SP (investigation) was constituted. Deputy Superintendent of Police City-1 Hemant Sharma PPS and SI Priyanshu Singh were part of the team to investigate the case technically and thoroughly. From the investigation Patiala Police was able to arrest Sukha Singh s/o Mahinder Singh and his wife Arshpreet Kaur alias Priya both R/o Village Chalherhi, PS Sadar Rajpura, Distt Patiala from Amritsar on 30.08.2021.
During investigation following things have been recovered: –
A Gold Chain.
A Gold Karha
A gold bracelet
A Laptop.
