Patiala’s air quality ‘very poor’ after Diwali

Patiala’s air quality expectedly crossed the “Very Poor” mark day after Diwali.

People from several parts of the city and its suburbs complained of itchy throat and watery eyes resulting from the polluted air.

A thick layer of acrid smog hung over Patiala City on Friday after residents flouted the ban on firecrackers to celebrate Diwali and emissions from stubble burn in the City.

Currently Air Quality Index of Patiala is at 300+ which stated of
Respiratory illness on prolonged exposure.
