World University Participated in Nagar Keertan on Last Day of the Shaheedi Sabha

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib paid homage to the supreme sacrifice made by the younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji: Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, and Mata Gujri Ji. On this occasion various events were organised which included Cancer Care Camp, Physiotherapy and Homeopathy camp, Book Exhibition, Turban Tying camp and Screening of documentary related to Sikhism.
On 27th December, Dr. Ajaib Singh Brar, Pro-chancellor and Dr. Prit Pal Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the University, along with staff and students participated in the Nagar Kirtan. Dr. Ajaib Singh Brar said that such camps and initiatives are the need of the hour as the Sikh youth are becoming Patit and have drawn into vices like drugs. The University has taken these steps to spread awareness among the youth. Such endeavours are made to connect our young generation to their rich culture, heritage and history .
While talking to the journalists, Dr. Prit pal Singh mentioned that with the help of World Cancer Care Charitable Trust, England, the University organised a free Cancer-Care camp under the guidance of Dr. Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, in which the check-up of more than 1000 patients was done. Also, the information about the prevention and cure of this deadly disea disease was also provided to the patients free of cost. In the Physiotherapy and Homeopathy camps, over 1100 patients were also treated free of cost. Over 500 students participated in Turban Tying Training camps. During the Nagar Kirtan, the Gatka team of the University presented a mesmerized performance.
