FIR against Punjab CM Charanjit Channi

After the statement made by Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channy regarding the people of Bihar-UP, their plight is now on the rise. A case has been registered against Charanjit Singh Channi in the CGM court of Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The case against Channi has been registered by Tamanna Hashmi, a social activist from Muzaffarpur.

A case has been registered against Channi under sections 295, 295 (a) 504 and 511 of the IPC.

All that CM #CharanjitChanni said was that #Punjab should be run by Punjabis. His statement was misconstrued. I don’t think anyone from UP is interested in coming to Punjab and ruling: #Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Ludhiana, Punjab

My statement is being misconstrued. All migrant workers who came to Punjab till date,have toiled & taken it on path to development. We’ve only love for them, nobody can change it: Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi on his reported remark ‘Don’t let UP, Bihar ke bhaiya enter Punjab’

I was talking about people who come from outside and create disruptions here. Punjab is as much of the people of UP-Bihar, Rajasthan and elsewhere, who come here & work, as much as it is ours. So, it is not right to present it in any other manner: Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi
