3rd National Research Scholars Meet Culminated Successfully at World University
Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Fatehgarh Sahib in association with Indian Science Congress Association (Patiala Chapter) organized a two days, 3rd National Research Scholar Meet on 24th and 25th March with the theme “INNOVATION CHALLENGES IN INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AND PRACTICES”. Chief Patron for the meet was Prof. AS Brar, Pro-chancellor of the university. Prof Dr. Prit Pal Singh, Vice Chancellor was the Patron and Prof. SS Billing, Dean Academic Affairs and Prof. Paramvir Singh were the conveners of this 3rd National Research Scholars Meet. Prof. Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor of Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Participants from 42 institutions from across the country presented their scholarly articles in various disciplines. Both online and offline mode of presentations were used by the participants. Researchers from field of medical, environment, chemical, life sciences, languages, religious studies, commerce and management and legal studies delivered remarkable presentations, demonstrating recent evidences along with their experience and expertise in the field and thoroughly justified the theme of the research meet. This meet provided a common platform to scholars to share their expertise on the subject. Prof. Paramvir Singh convener of ISCA Patiala chapter addressed the delegates on valedictory function and emphasized on the need of bringing forth the regional research scholars, which he explained was the sole purpose of creating regional chapters of ISCA. Digital release of abstracts of all research participants was undertaken during the valedictory function. Convener of the meet, Prof SS Billing welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members and all research scholars. Certificates for best presentation in various disciplines were given by the chief guest, Prof. Susheel Mittal. He motivated the research scholars to put in their best efforts for conducting research that is beneficial for the society. Dr. Prit Pal Singh emphasized on the quality of research not just the quantity. He delivered the message to research scholars to refrain from fabricating the research data and stressed that ethics in research are of utmost importance. He also deliberated on the challenges and opportunities in interdisciplinary research. Vote of thanks was delivered by Co Convener of the meet Dr. Yadwinder Singh and due credit was given to the whole organizing team including coordinators of various sessions and media coverage team.
