20 AAP MLAs of Delhi Assembly disqualified

President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday approved the Election Commission’s recommendation to disqualify 20 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs for holding offices of profit. This leaves AAP with 42 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly and will lead to by-polls. The AAP had earlier moved the Delhi High Court against the EC’s recommendation, but the court had refused to stay it.
