The Fourth Edition of Career Fair “Career Fair-2022” at SGPC’s Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University

The World University organised the fourth edition of the annual “Career Fair-2022” on 24th May 2022 on a large scale in collaboration with The District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab Govt.). Dr. Ajaib Singh Brar, the Prochancellor of the University briefed to the press that this Career Fair has benefited a large number of students. He appreciated the overwhelming response to the job fair. He also informed that the students from Punjab, Haryana, and other states have been successfully placed in many reputed companies through this fair.

Prof. (Dr.) Prit Pal Singh, the Vice-Chancellor of the University congratulated the Department for the success of the event. Ms Rupinder Kaur, District Employment Generation and Training Officer appreciated the support of the university in actively organising the event annually and offered full support of Govt of Punjab in making this event a success. He also applauded the untiring efforts of the staff of the University. Prof. (Dr.) SS Billing, Dean Academic Affairs of the University also graced the occasion. Prof. (Dr.) C. Rajesh, Professor In Charge, Placements informed that in total 13 companies participated, out of which 10 companies conducted On-Campus recruitment process and other 3 opted for online mode to interview the students. He wished around 600 students from various Universities and Colleges of Punjab, Haryana and other states who participated in the fair all the best.

Companies which made recruitments are AU Small Finance Bank, ICICI Bank, Impinge Solutions, BYJU’s, C-Core India, Cigma, Jaro Education, Manipal Hospitals, OPPO Mobiles, Simba Quartz, Tiwana Oil Mills, Weikfield Foods. They recruited the students of Post graduate & Under graduate courses in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Biotechnology, Food Processing Technology), MBA, M.Com, BBA, B.Com, MCA, BCA, Chemistry, Agriculture, Engineering Diploma and ITI and Medical Graduates (Physiotherapy, Microbiology, B Pharma, Botany, MLT, Biology, Biomedical, etc.). Companies offered packages up to 9.5 lakhs to the selected students.
