World University Organised a Seminar on “Cyber Security”

Department of Computer Science of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University organized a seminar on “Cyber Security” sponsored by Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC) RISE Association, supported by AIM, NITI Aayog. The Co-ordinator of the event was Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Prof. & Head, Department of Computer Science. The keynote speakers for the event were Mr. Aditya Kumar Ojha , Chief Technology officer at CyberHawks and Mr. Karanjit Choudhary, Member ACIC RISE. Mr. Aditya shared his views with the students about various cyber crimes, their impersonation and defending mechanisms. He also talked about the huge demand of cyber security experts in India and encouraged students to choose it as their career path in order to build a safer society. Mr. Karanjit made the students aware about the ACIC RISE Association which aims to nuture innovation and entrepreneurship culture in semi-urban and rural India. He encouraged students to undertake entrepreneurship as a career option and set up a successful venture. Various financial and technical aids provided by the government of India under Atal Innovation Mission(AIM) were discussed. The talk was attended by the research scholars and the students of Computer Science Department. Dr. Amandeep Kaur Virk, Assistant Prof. and Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Assistant Prof., in the Department were the Co-cordinators of the event.
