The Punjab Government has now started preparations for the Municipal Elections. The government issued new wardbandi orders in 5 Municipal Corporations of the state. Instructions have been given to complete the wardbandi process within a week. Following these orders, it is being speculated that preparations for the elections have begun. Note that the term of Municipal Corporations will end in January 2023. Before which elections are to be held. In this regard, the government has now issued new wardbandi orders.
