Canada:Harbir Khosa and Jordan Krishna killed in Surrey shooting

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) on Friday identified the victims of the July 30 targeted shooting at the South Surrey Athletic Park as Harbir Khosa, 26, Robeen Soreni, 20, Jordan Krishna, 19, all of Surrey, to further advance their investigation.

A brazen public shooting in South Surrey that left two men dead has been under investigation by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team since the incident occurred on July 30.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is urging witnesses to come forward after what appeared to be a targeted shooting in South Surrey, which left multiple victims deceased.

Background: On July 30, 2022 at 2:45 p.m., police received reports of a shooting at the South Surrey Athletic Park, located at 14600 20 Avenue, Surrey, BC. Surrey Detachment first responders attended the location and found three individuals, all suffering from gun shot wounds. Two victims have died as a result of their injuries, while a third is being treated for life-threatening injuries. IHIT has taken conduct of the investigation and is working closely in partnership with the Surrey Detachment, BC Coroners Service and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section (IFIS).

Investigators believe the shooting to have been targeted and do not believe there is any further risk to the public. At this time, investigators are working to confirm the identities of the victims and any nexus to the Lower Mainland gang conflict.

The onset of any investigation is critical as we move swiftly to secure time-sensitive and perishable evidence, says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT. We are appealing to anyone with dash cam video to secure the footage and to contact us immediately.

IHIT is asking that any witnesses or anyone with dash camera video who attended the area of the South Surrey Athletic Park between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. or who has any information regarding the shooting, to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
