TEEJ CELEBRATIONS in BUDHA DAL PUBLIC SCHOOL PATIALA
Teej festival is the well known event of celebrations in Punjab region. Keeping the tradition alive, Budha Dal Public School, Patiala & Samana celebrated Teej festival with great enthusiasm. The Chief guest of the function was Dr. (Mrs.) Gurpreet Kaur Mann, wife of our Honourable Chief Minister of Punjab S. Bhagwant Mann and was accompanied by Mrs. Manpreet Kaur, Sister of our Honourable Chief Minister of Punjab. The special dignitaries were welcomed by the School President Mrs. Sukhvinderjit Kaur, Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, Principal, Budha Dal Public School, Patiala, Mrs. Narinder Kaur, Principal, Budha Dal Public School, Samana, Mrs. Amandeep Kaur, Incharge, Jr. Wing, Patiala, Staff and students. To show a glimpse of a Punjabi culture, the School corridors were decorated with phulkaris, chhaj, chatis and charkha. The traditional colourful attire of the teachers and students enhanced the charm of the celebration. On the occasion, Students showcased their art by presenting folk songs, dance, giddha and bhangra. Various stalls were arranged by students and teachers like Traditional Kitchen, Bangle stall, Mehandi stall, Pottery and selfie counter. Students danced to the tune of dhol dhamaka and were delighted to apply Mehandi on teachers’ hand. Students and teachers also enjoyed taking the swings while eating traditional sweets.
The fun and frolic of the day culminated with wonderful moments of remembrance and everlasting memories.
