Silver Fern Education Consultants organize 3rd edition of the YPS Patiala MUN Conference to be held from October 6th -8th.

Silver Fern Education Consultants are organizing a Model United Nations Conference along with Yadavindra Public School, Patiala on the school campus. This is the first Post Covid MUN conference. More than 350 students of 40 schools from different parts of the country are sending their most promising teams to participate. The events shall be held from 6th to 8th October. Many dignitaries are expected to attend.

Schools have had to struggle for more than a year due to the pandemic. There is a need now to recuperate from the dark phase. The theme for YPSMUN 2022 ‘Tamso Maa Jyotirgamay’ – From Darkness to Light resonates with what is most required in the world today. Millions of innocent people are caught up in an unusual epicentre of crises. Decades of progress is going into reverse and insecurity. Unrest and uncertainty are on the rise in nation after nation. In such a gruesome scenario, it is imperative that we find workable solutions to Conflict, Hunger, Climate Change, Poverty, Mass Displacement, Bio Terrorism and Neglect of Basic Human Rights.

MUN Conferences are always accredited for intellectual arguments, negotiations and scholarly discussions. The idea of such conferences is to provide a strong and credible platform for the students to put across their arguments on their country’s behalf. The student delegates are going to discuss the current issues like war, financial crisis, women empowerment and climate change to name a few YPSMUN 2022 is a perfect opportunity to research and critically analyse the political attempts towards inclusive development.

Silver Fern has been providing consultancy support to the students of YPS Patiala and has a commendable success rate for the admissions abroad. Prabhjyot Kaur, Director, Silver Fern Education Consultants, Patiala strongly believes in the holistic growth and development of the students. This is the reason they are partnering with the school in organizing the mega event. The school students ranging from Classes VIII to XII are being actively involved in the organizing process. They are shouldering responsibilities for delegates’ registration, logistics, conference planning and management. These experiences go a long way in shaping the personality of the students. The organizational skills play an important role when reflected in the student’s profile and the students with these credentials stand a better chance in being admitted in prestigious colleges both in India and abroad.

The President, Col Ravi Inder Singh Brar and the alumni executive body is very appreciative of this event and supports the cause. Meher Mangat , former Head Girl of YPS is the Advisor for the Conference along with Abhishek Bindal, a Law Graduate from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
