Dengue patient in UP given mosambi juice instead of plasma, dies.
A private hospital in Prayagraj was sealed for allegedly transfusing fruit juice instead of blood plasma to a dengue patient. The patient died after the transfusion. Kins of the patient alleged that the patient was given mosambi (sweet lime) juice as platelets. Prayagraj CMO Nanak Saran said that a three-member panel has been formed to probe the matter. A preliminary enquiry into the incident has revealed medical negligence. The hospital was sealed in order to ensure a fair probe. UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak took cognizance of the incident and ordered a probe.
