Professor of San Jose State University, California visited SGGS World University
Dr. Avtar Singh, a Professor of Electrical Engineering at San Jose State University, California today visited Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib and interacted with the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. At San Jose State, Dr. Singh is involved in teaching and research in the areas of DSP implementation, biomedical instrumentation, and programmable devices and processors. He has written nine textbooks on Microprocessors. The Hidden Factor is one of his popular books. His book Digital Signal Processing Implementations: Using DSP Microprocessors has also been translated into the Chinese language. Dr. Singh has also served at the City University of New York and the County College of Morris. He has an extensive experience with industry.
During the interaction with the faculty, thought provoking discussions about the challenges and opportunities of human resource manager were held between faculty and the resource person. They also discussed latest innovations and technological advancements in the field of computers. Dr. Singh motivated the faculty to contribute readily in research and development in the field of computer science.
Dr. Ajaib Singh Brar, the Pro-Chancellor of the University warmly welcomed his longtime friend and the Professor, and thanked him to grace the University with his presence. He expressed his gratitude to Dr. Singh for sharing his invaluable experience with the faculty. Dr. Brar shared that he is delighted over the visits of Dr. Avtar Singh to the University as it has opened new avenues for the students and has introduced research and development at international platform to them. He assured the faculty that they will get more opportunities to meet intellectuals and scholars who have achieved great success in their fields.
