Urges Punjab Govt to immediately clear the dues of Arogya Mitras to ensure smooth sailing of Ayushman Scheme
Patiala, 25 December
BJP Punjab state Vice President Jai Inder Kaur visited the Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala today and interacted with patients that have been facing huge problems due to unavailability of benefits of Ayushman scheme.
Talking to the media after visiting the hospital Jai Inder Kaur informed, “I had been getting reports that patients have been facing hassle due to unavailability of Ayushman scheme service in the hospital, so today we decided to personally visit and gauge what really the situation is.”
“After interacting with patients I am very saddened to know that no treatment is being provided to patients under the ayushman scheme. Rajindra Hospital is a premier institute catering to patients from multiple districts of Punjab and most of these patients come from economically weaker sections and need the Ayushman scheme for treatment of different ailments,” she continued
The senior BJP leader said, “The Arogya Mitras, who have not got their salaries from the last 2 months, have stopped processing Ayushman cards of the beneficiaries which has left the patients in the lurch. The patients admitted under the scheme at various hospitals have been left in lurch since they are not able to continue their treatment. Also, the patients who need a discharge can’t proceed as they need a clearance from Arogya Mitra who have stopped working.”
Jai Inder Kaur further informed that, “I met the principal Dr Harjinder singh and the Acting MS doctor Raja to raise this issue and they said that they have already requested the state government to clear the salaries on priority basis and are hopeful that it will be done soon. It’s saddening to see that such an important institute like Rajindra Hospital is facing this issue, that also after the health minister of state belongs to Punjab district. I urge him and the Punjab government to immediately solve this issue, so as to provide much needed relief to the common man.”

ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਯੂਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਸਕੀਮ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਯੂਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਸਕੀਮ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਕੀ ਹੈ।”
“ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਆਯੁਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਇਲਾਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਤਬਕਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਈ ਆਯੁਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਸਕੀਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਹਨ।”
ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਨੇਤਾ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ”ਅਰੋਗਿਆ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਛਲੇ 2 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਤਨਖਾਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਨੇ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਯੂਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਕਾਰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ‘ਚ ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਦਾਖਲ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਸਚਾਰਜ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਵਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰੋਗਿਆ ਮਿੱਤਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਕਲੀਅਰੈਂਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।”
ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ: ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਐਮ.ਐਸ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਤਨਖ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਲੀਅਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਇਸ ਮਸਲੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮਸਲੇ ਦਾ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।”
