Canadian college admission scam: Indian immigration agent Brijesh Mishra arrested
Brijesh Mishra, the Indian immigration agent allegedly involved in a fake Canadian college admission letters scandal, has been apprehended in Canada and is now confronting criminal charges, as reported by the Toronto Star. He was held while trying to sneak into Canada.
On Friday, Canada Border Services Agency charged Brijesh Mishra, a citizen of India, with offering immigration advice without a licence and with counselling a person to directly or indirectly misrepresent or withhold information from authorities.
It is worth mentioning here that hundreds of students were facing deportation for utilizing doctored/fake admission letters to secure study permits. Canada has temporarily halted deportation of these students.
