Patiala Police boat carrying relief materials crashed near Sudhan Ghujran Village
Patiala, 13 July:
Many villages falling under PS Jhulkan sub division Patiala Rural are very badly suffering due to flood water. Teams of Patiala Police and NDRF 7 Battalion are contantly working for relief and rescue measures. Due to high level of flood water, Boats are only means to send medicines, ration, food, water and other essential items.
Today, at around 1:30 PM, a boat carrying relief materials and essential medicines crashed with a damaged bridge near Dudhan Ghujran village, PS Jhulkan. Md Sarfaraz Alam IPS SP City Patiala , Gurdev Singh Dhaliwal DSP Rural and Insp Harjinder Singh SHO Jhulkan and NDRF team of SI Mohan, HC Akhilesh, Ct Kapil, Ct Prakas NDRF 7 Battalion Bhatinda had a narrow escape. 3-4 persons have suffered some injuries but the boat seems to be damaged due to crash.
