Massive Rainfall across Uttarakhand & Himachal Pradesh overnight
The hill state of Uttarakhand has been battered by torrential rainfall in the last couple of days. In view of the given situation, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel were deployed in several locations and asked to remain alert.
So far, at least 22 people have died in rain-related incidents and natural disasters across the state in the last week. The total number of natural disaster-related deaths since June 15 is 60, while 37 people are injured and 17 are missing. Over 35 houses have fully collapsed, 125 are severely damaged, and 1,169 houses are partially damaged.
