Fake Scheduled Caste Certificate Of Harpal Singh Cancelled: Dr. Baljit Kaur

Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the fake Schedule Caste certificate of Harpal Singh son of Ajit Singh Ludhiana, who is working as a doctor, has been rejected by the state level scrutiny committee established by the Punjab Government.

Divulging in this regard, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that that a complaint was lodged by Hardeep Kaur wife of Gurinder Singh New Delhi with the Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment and Minorities . In this complaint it was revealed that Harpal Singh son of Ajit Singh of Ludhiana had obtained the fake Scheduled Caste certificate.

The Minister further said that Harpal Singh actually belongs to the Ramgarhia caste, but he has made the fake Scheduled Caste certificate belonging to Ramdasia caste. Based on this certificate he took admission in MBBS at Government Medical College, Amritsar in the year 1985-86 and is now working as a Private Doctor (Anesthesia) at Ludhiana.

She said that while considering the report of the vigilance cell, the state level scrutiny committee has confirmed that Harpal Singh’s Scheduled Caste certificate is fake and decided to cancel it.

The Cabinet Minister conveyed that the department has write a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana to annul and seize the Scheduled Caste Certificate dated 05.08.1982 of Harpal Singh.

Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to protect interests of Scheduled Castes of state.
