INDUSTRIAL BIGWIGS AND ENTREPRENEURS FROM MAJHA LAUD INITIATIVES OF PUNJAB GOVERNMENT IN SARKAR-SANATKAR MILNI

Impressed with the diligent and honest working of the Punjab government, the entrepreneurs of Majha, during a direction interaction with Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann here, lauded the steps taken by the government for the betterment of the industries and bringing a positive change in the state.

Vikramjit Sharma, an entrepreneur who came from Hyderabad and set up an IT company in Bhikhiwind said that his father was keen to send him to abroad, but he sought a chance and with the assistant of Punjab government, he managed to fulfill his goal.  He further said that he registered an online complaint of low electricity voltage and the PSPCL resolved the issue at once.

Sandeep Khosla from Amritsar said that the system has been reformed for the first time after formation of a new government. He said that for 10 years, there was a problem of the focal point, which this government has decided to solve by inviting a tender of Rs 14 crore.

On the demand of a fire station by an industrialist Rajesh Kumar Ladi from the old focal point, the Chief Minister directed concerned officials to provide fire vehicles there within this month and said that the construction work of new fire station will be began from September 20 at a cost of Rs. 2.25 crore.

After the industrialist Naval Gupta expressed concern over safety of entrepreneurs in absence of CCTV cameras at focal points, the Chief Minister directed to install high mega pixel cameras at 20 places in the next 35 days.

Vijay Kumar, an entrepreneur at Imperial Bio-Energy, said that he was inclined to set up unit in Madhya Pradesh, but the pro-industrial policies of the government and the wholehearted help by the officials attracted him to Punjab. Sarbjeet Bhullar of World Wide Food said that he wanted to set up a cellar for a long time in Punjab, but he was hesitant due to intricate system of the government, but now when he took the initiative, all the work was done in a few days by the Punjab government. Within 15 days, he gets the Green Stamp and received all the required approvals.

Sanjay Gupta, Director, NCML from Singapore, said that Punjab’s agricultural production and policies of the government attracted him to Punjab and now he is setting up a large silos for storage of food grains in Batala and Chheharta.

Vijay Sharma from the National Hotel Hub said that due to the policies of the government, he is investing Rs. 2000 crore in the hotel industry. Wave Beverages Sales Officer Harsh Agarwal said that they are expanding the areas of plots in Patiala, Amritsar as well as setting up a new plant in Gurdaspur and whatever need was required the department has boosted their morale by completing it within days.

Ravinderpal Singh, a resident of Red Fort Basmati, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for banning the use of pesticides on Basmati and also directing all Punjab MPs to raise issue of restrictions imposed by the Central Government on the export of Basmati so that Basmati could be easily exported.

Krishan Kumar Sharma of Padhan Textile Association appreciated the initiative of the Chief Minister to meet the industrialists and said that all kinds of support from the civil and police administration in Amritsar is coming in, corruption has come down and people are willing to invest in Punjab again because of a honest governance. Hotel Association President APS Chatha lauded the sincere efforts being made by the government for the development of tourism and also demanded the appointment of a nodal officer for the tourism department in Amritsar, which the CM Mann has accepted on the spot.

Meanwhile, the CM Bhagwant Singh Mann accepted the demand of hotel owners of Amritsar Walled City centre and gave them time for meeting on September 19. He said that he is committed for the inclusive development of the holy town Amritsar and roads leading to Sri Darbar Sahib will also be repaired on the priority.
