Punjab Police ASI Kamal Kishore loots gold from smuggler,arrested

The Ludhiana police Thursday arrested five persons including a policeman who allegedly looted 1.6 kg gold paste (1600 gm) from the “courier” who had arrived from Dubai with the smuggled gold paste.

ASI robbed a car in uniform

ASI Kamal Kishore along with four accused stopped the passenger coming out of the airport. He along with the accused robbed the passenger by threatening him with a uniform. The miscreants also snatched the passport from the passenger.

Gold worth Rs 50 lakh sold in Gurdaspur

The accused sold gold worth about Rs 50 lakh in Gurdaspur. After this, the accused came to Ludhiana in a Scorpio car to sell gold. Police recovered 825 grams of gold, Rs 8 lakh in cash, 2 mobiles and a passport from the accused. Now the police will raid against those who looted gold in Gurdaspur.

During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that ASI Kishore had got a tip-off about the smuggling racket from a Gurdaspur resident, Neha, who was employed as a cook with the smuggling racket kingpin Puneet, alias Pankaj, who was based in Dubai.
