Sedition case filed against Navjot Singh Sidhu for hugging Pak army chief
August 20, 2018 New Delhi: A complaint of sedition was filed in a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur against cricketer-turned-politician Navot Singh Sidhu for hugging Pakistan army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the oath ceremony of new Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
A lawyer has filed the complaint against Sidhu, a minister in the Punjab government, who had also courted controversy after he was seen sitting next to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’s President Masood Khan at the ceremony.
