DBU Organised a State Level “Mega Job Fair 2023” at University Campus

Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, in collaboration with District Employment Bureau, Government of Punjab organised a State Level “Mega Job Fair 2023” at University campus. The main motive of this job fair was to give employment to the students who had completed their graduation. Ms. Pooja Kathuria, TPO, Mr. Mohit Kumar, Assistant TPO welcomed Dr. Zora Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor as guest of honour and Dr. Nadella Vishnu Vardhan Chief Ophthalmologist, Chairman Set Sarojini Venkataratnam Memorial Society as the chief guest and Dr. Chinda Srinivasa Raju, Ap State IMA President, Dr Senorita Isaac (Trade Commissioner Western India Region), Mr. Vijay Mohan (GM Madhav Group as the special guests of the event.

Dr. Zora Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University congratulated the organizers for organizing such a massive event. He shared that the motive of this fair is to give the passing out students as well as youngsters of the nearby areas a platform to get selected in the best of the jobs in their fields. While addressing to the media, he shared that DBU is committed to not only the spread of the education but also to optimum placements and bright future of the youth. DBU knows for the quality education, skill development and wholesome grooming of the students.

Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor also congratulated the department for organizing this program and wished the students who got shortlisted. Dr. Tajinder Kaur said that it is a matter of great pride that Desh Bhagat University has been organizing this Job fair for the past several years, which has provided employment to thousands of students and will provide more employment opportunities in the future as well.

Ms. Pooja Kathuria shared the information that more than 700 candidates had participated in this job fair, in which 28 companies were invited in which companies like Fortis Hospital, Oswal Hospital, Hoshiarpur Automobiles, A.S. Alloys, Madhav Group, Milestone etc came for recruitment. she added that around 300 students were shortlisted and 4.7 lakh per annum package was offered to the deserving candidates. She also said that the University has an all year around active placement cell as placements give students an important direction to move forward in life. The regular placement drives in the University which helps the students to choose whether they want to get into the working industry right away or focus on a further degree and also gives them valuable experience of facing interviews of various reputed companies.
