Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal summoned by ED in liquor policy case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) again on Monday summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is also the Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener, to record his statement in connection with the Delhi excise policy case on December 21. This is the second summons by the ED to the Chief Minister in the case.
The AAP leader then wrote to the ED to say he could not attend as he was busy campaigning for the election in Madhya Pradesh. Amid speculation he could be arrested on that day, Mr Kejriwal had also called the summons “illegal” and “politically motivated”, and demanded it be withdrawn.
