DBU Organizes NSS Camp – Clean India-Green India
The NSS Unit, in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy at Desh Bhagat University, successfully organized the “NSS Camp-Clean India-Green India.” The event included activities such as a cleanliness and plantation drive, where students from the School of Pharmacy, Sardar Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy and MJK College of Pharmacy participated with great enthusiasm.
The purpose of the celebration is to keep our country clean by motivating the youth and spreading the idea of cleanliness. It is a day to educate people about the harm caused by a polluted environment.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and Prof. Dr. Abhijit Joshi, Vice-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University. Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal of the School of Pharmacy, delivered a welcome address, motivating students to actively participate and highlighting the significance of the celebration. Dr.Zora Singh emphasized that the event aimed to promote awareness of cleanliness and educate about the health issues caused by environmental pollution and wastage.
Pro-Chancellor Dr.Tajinder Kaur congratulated the staff, students and members of the Placebo Club for the successful organization of the event. Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President, appreciated the efforts of the Faculty of Pharmacy students and the Eco club. He conveyed his best wishes for the continuation of such activities. Kushpal, Principal of MJK College of Pharmacy, motivated students to engage in similar activities in the future. Dr. Shailesh Gupta, Principal of Sardar Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, delivered a vote of thanks. The event coordinator was Oshina.
