DBU Nursing Students’ Compassionate Visit to Leprosy Hermitage

In a heartfelt initiative, the Faculty of Nursing at Desh Bhagat University organized a visit for students pursuing B.Sc. Nursing Semester II & B.Sc. IV year to the Leprosy Hermitage in Fatehgarh Sahib on the occasion of World Leprosy Day. The primary objective of the visit was to create awareness and extend support to those affected by leprosy.

During the visit, the nursing students actively participated in distributing essential food items to the residents of the Leprosy Hermitage. In a compassionate gesture, they also contributed a donation of Rs 1,200 to further assist the hermitage’s residents. The event was coordinated by Dr. Prabhjot Singh and Nursing Tutor Ms. Honey Hasteer, under the guidance and support of the Officiating Principal, Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Lovesampuranjot Kaur.

Mr Sandeep Singh, President of DBU, expressed sincere appreciation for the thoughtful efforts made by the nursing students. Such initiatives not only showcase the students’ dedication to community service but also contribute to creating a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
