11th Convocation of Desh Bhagat University on February 14th

In a press conference held today, Dr. Col Pardeep Kumar, Registrar, along with the Vice-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, Abhijit Joshi, and Dr. HK Sidhu, announced the arrangements for the university’s 11th Convocation, scheduled to take place at the Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Auditorium on February 14th.

Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh will preside over the ceremony, with Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, President Dr. Sandeep Singh, and the Vice-Chancellor also gracing the occasion. This year, a total of 1949 students from the academic year 2022-23 will be eligible for the award of degrees and diplomas.

Additionally, Vice-Chancellor Abhijit Joshi revealed that the university will confer Honoris Causa degrees upon four eminent personalities: Dr. Deepak J Tilak, Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune, Prof. Goutam Roy Chowdhury, Chancellor of Techno India University, Kolkata, Dr. Ittikorn Wattana, International VC of Yoga Samskritam University, Florida, and renowned homeopathy medicine practitioner Dr. Sukhvir Singh from New Delhi.

Furthermore, the university takes pride in announcing the felicitation of Geetali Tilak Mone, Vice-Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, for her significant contributions to women empowerment.

The recipients of the Chancellor’s Award include: Dr. Vikramjeet Singh Dhingra, Plastic Surgeon, Former Chief Medical Officer of PAU, Dr. Rajiv Bali, Gian Singh Sandhu, President of GNIG Studies, Canada, and Acharya Manish Ji.

The 11th Convocation of Desh Bhagat University promises to be a momentous occasion, celebrating academic excellence and honoring individuals who have made remarkable contributions to their respective fields.
