Desh Bhagat University Hosts Inspiring Alumni Meet

Desh Bhagat University (DBU) organized under Desh Bhagat Alumni Welfare Association a vibrant Alumni meeting at the Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Auditorium, showcasing the spirit of unity, progress, and inclusivity. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of prominent dignitaries, including DBU Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, who felicitated the Chief Guest, Union State Commerce and Industry Minister, Som Parkash.

The Alumni Meet served as a platform for former students to reunite, reminisce, and celebrate their alma mater’s legacy of excellence. Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President of DBU, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, setting the stage with inspiring speeches and captivating performances.

In his address, Chief Guest Som Parkash emphasized the significance of unity, integrity, and meritocracy in nation-building. He encouraged the young audience to prioritize competence and honesty over religious and caste affiliations, stressing that genuine contributions to society transcend narrow divisions. Minister Som Parkash envisioned a prosperous and developed India by 2047, urging the youth to actively participate in shaping the nation’s future and strengthening its democratic fabric. He further said Create a caste-free society.

Director of Social Sciences, Dr. Davinder Kumar Sharma, introduced Chief Guest Som Parkash to the alumni, highlighting his exemplary leadership and dedication to public service.

The event also witnessed the recognition of visionary leaders within the DBU community. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Abhijit Joshi was honored with the “Brave Visionary Award” for his outstanding contributions to education and organizational growth. Additionally, Dr Pardeep Kumar was felicitated by Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh for his remarkable dedication and service to the institution.

The Alumni Meet was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Rakesh Gupta, Director of MSME, Er. Kanwar Veer Singh, State Secretary of Punjab BJP, Chancellors Advisor Dr. Virinder Singh, Harish Aggarwal, and Paramjeet Singh.

The alumni meet was further enriched by captivating performances showcasing the talents of students, including songs, dances, and poetry recitations. The event also acknowledges old alumni their enduring connection and their contributions to the university’s legacy.
