Nursing Faculty of DBU organized a program dedicated to World Cancer Day

Nursing Faculty of Desh Bhagat University organized a program dedicated to World Cancer Day under the theme ‘Close the Care Gap’. The second semester students of B. Sc. Nursing took the initiative to impart essential health education to the public emphasizing the importance of cancer awareness and prevention.

The event was organized by Mrs. Dilpreet Kaur Sohi and Mrs. Bhupinder Kaur Saini, in which students and faculty members actively participated. Principal of the Faculty of Nursing Dr. Victor Devasirvadam provided his guidance and support to ensure the success of the event. Head of Community Health Nursing Prof. (Dr.) Prabhjot Singh and Head of Mental Health Nursing Prof. (Dr.) Lovesampuranjot Kaur contributed their expertise enhancing the educational aspect of the initiative.

Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and President Dr. Sandeep Singh appreciated the dedication and commitment shown by the students towards creating awareness about cancer and promoting proactive measures for its prevention. He lauded the students and said that this spirit reflects the commitment to promote a culture of social responsibility and healthcare advocacy.
