Former Intel India head hit by speeding cab while cycling, dies
The former India country head of Intel Avtar Saini died on Wednesday after he was knocked down by a speeding cab while he was cycling in Navi Mumbai. The police have registered an FIR in the matter and have served a notice to the taxi driver Hrishikesh Khade.
The incident, coming less than a year since the death of runner Rajalakshmi Vijay on Worli seaface, is another reminder of how unfriendly roads are in Mumbai for cyclists, pedestrians and runners.
