Bihar:Army aircraft crash-lands in Bihar’s Gaya, pilots safe
A two-seater microlight aircraft of Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), Gaya, made an emergency landing on a farmland at Kanchanpur village under Bodh Gaya police station after developing a technical snag on Tuesday. However, two trainee pilots on board the aircraft, including a woman, escaped unhurt.
The aircraft, being used to train Army officers, was later transported to Gaya OTA.
Bodh Gaya deputy superintendent of police Saurav Jaiswal said the aircraft made an emergency landing around 8am. “The microlight aircraft has been designed in such a manner that those on board it receive minimal injury in case of a crash or emergency landing. Its wings are very light in weight. In fact, the aircraft functions like a parachute,” a Gaya airport official said
