Election Commissioner Arun Goel resigned weeks before the 2024 #LokSabhaElections. President Droupadi Murmu accepted his resignation.
Prior to his role as Election Commissioner, Goel, a 1985 batch IAS officer, served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Heavy Industry for the Government of India.
