DBU Students Claim Second Prize in Chef Competition

Desh Bhagat University proudly announces the outstanding achievement of its School of Hotel Management & Tourism students, who clinched the second prize in the prestigious International Cuisine competition held at Robomania 2024 hosted by the Gulzar Group of Institutions.

 

Competing against top-tier institutions from across the nation, the dynamic duo of Manveer Singh and Manav Shahi showcased their culinary prowess by presenting exquisite Chinese cuisine. Their culinary creations captivated both the esteemed panel of judges and fellow participants, earning them well-deserved accolades.

 

In another event, the faculty of the School of Hotel Management & Tourism also shone brightly at the event. Dr. Aman Sharma, Director of the School, and Chef Rinku Singh were honored with the esteemed Aahar Ways Award for the year 2023-24. Dr. Aman Sharma was recognized as the best Associate Professor (HM), while Chef Rinku Singh secured the title of best Assistant Professor. This recognition underscores their dedication and excellence in the food and HoReCa industry.

 

Expressing his elation over these achievements, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, emphasized the significance of these triumphs in reflecting the University’s commitment to providing contemporary learning methodologies and comprehensive hands-on training.
