A 21-year-old woman from Madhya Pradesh faked her kidnapping and demanded Rs 30 lakh from her parents so that she could flee to a foreign location. According to news agency PTI, the woman, who had gone to Rajasthan’s Kota for studies, was yet to be traced.
Identified as Kavya, the woman was accompanied by her mother to a hostel in Kota, where she was to attend coaching classes. Police told PTI that Kavya spent just three days at the hostel and later traveled to Indore with one of her friends, who too wanted to travel abroad.

The girl hails from Bairad of MP’s Shivpuri district.
