While making the announcement for the electricity consumers of rural areas, Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal said that the government will now provide electricity connections to the camps and dhanis located up to 3 kilometers from Phirni village. Earlier this limit was 1 kilometer. Along with this, consumers will not have to pay any expenses on electricity connections given to camps and dhanis up to 300 meters. Even if a connection is given after 300 meters, half the cost will be charged from the consumer and the other half will be borne by the government. Earlier this limit was 150 meters.
