There has been an agreement between Haryana and Rajasthan to prepare DPR i.e. Detailed Project Report for the proper utilization of the rain water which used to flow wastefully into the sea through the river during monsoon season from July to October and to prevent floods.

The agreement was signed by senior officials of both the states in the presence of Union Jal Shakti Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Haryana Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal and Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma in New Delhi
