Shimla : Jakhu temple escalator ride service started
Himachal chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday inaugurated the state’s first outdoor escalators at Jakhu temple in Shimla, which is at a height of 2,455 metres above sea level. The project worth Rs 7.94 crore has a carrying capacity of 6,000 persons per hour. During the launch, the chief minister said that the four escalators would facilitate people visiting the temple from the parking lot.
